This comprehensive curricular toolkit is designed for: adult education departments in jails and prisons OR organizations who work with those impacted by incarceration. The Toolkit includes two comprehensive PDF downloads:

1. Regenerative Climate Justice Curricular Guide  
2. Regenerative Design for Changemakers Curriculum

The toolkit focuses on regenerative approaches to course delivery  and classroom culture. Content includes:  

• 24 lesson plans (a total of 48 contact hours) on the ecological and social issues that undergird climate change
• inspiring climate/community resilience case studies • social design exercises focused on regenerative climate solutions

The curriculum outlines CCR (College and Career Readiness) Standards for each lesson plan (from MA ABE (Adult Basic Education) Standards, which may be applicable across state lines). This curriculum is ideal for a correctional institution or  educational organization who has one or more of the  following characteristics: 

• Educators with backgrounds in anti-oppression theory and pedagogy 
• Lead by and/or work closely with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities
• A social justice mission, with a priority area dedicated to climate change and/or climate justice 
• Supports students or other beneficiaries in developing their capacities for change-making in their respective communities 
• Values creativity (e.g. storytelling, imagination, and somatic intelligence) as integral to education and the work of climate justice

Please note: in order to successfully deliver this 48-hour course, the following resources are necessary for the duration of the  course: 

• Classroom space 
• Projector or large tv monitor 
• Instructor access to the internet 
• Printer for handouts (virtual course delivery can be customized if needed)
